Soaring Cityscape Photography

Rich with scenery and full of New York City love, the Luna Teifke One Magazine May 2011 editorial captures exhilarating city life. Full of colors and sky-high buildings, the shoot is a feast for the eyes.

Photographer Karine Basilio captures the Luna Teifke One Magazine shoot in the middle of the city’s traffic and bustle. Found in landmark places like in front of the New York Philharmonic and on a busy street in Manhattan, the model stands out from the crowd with her glamorous appeal. Stylist Diana Andreea ouftits her in sleek and stylish dresses of all different colors from fashion houses like Miu Miu and Diane Von Furstenberg.

With the combination of mystery, glamour and remarkable street life, the Luna Teifke One Magazine shoot is truly a stunning one.

As much as I love the natural and more subtle backdrop, big city and the life they bring are truly amazing as well, New york city is of course a great place but Chicago is a city where i am lucky to visit often and it makes my eyes light up every time we drive towards downtown the landscape and architecture is just gorgeous

PREVIEW ! :)

Thought I tease with a shoot from my photoshoot!, its unedited also but love it, Seeing I could do a one location shoot, for a more editorial pictures just still kept it simple and took picture against the brick wall! I think it looks youth and fresh just what I want my collection to evoke!

Editorial Stipes in Colour for Harper's Baazar

Super-Striped Pictorials -This Harper’s Bazaar US April 2011 Editorial Colors in the Lines

The Harper’s Bazaar US April 2011 pictorial, simply titled ‘Stripes,’ is as its name suggests. It’s an editorial dedicated to this season’s must-have pattern that will certainly keep you in line.

Starring model Patricia van der Vliet and photographed by Richard Burbridge, this editorial earns its stripes in a colorful array of patterned pieces. This spring season calls for vibrant, color-blocked ensembles from head to toe; including your daily accessories of jewelry, bags and shoes. Whether they’re horizontal or vertical, linear lines are the direction of this year’s wardrobe. The spread showcases striped pieces from the luxury collections of Louis Vuitton, Prada, Jil Sander and more.

Mixing up DENIM

'Jeon Hye Bin wanted to take on this season’s key trends, and mix it up with modern and retro denim. She turned the photoshoot into something wonderfully fresh, while showing off her slender legs at the same time.'

I really like these photos because they are so colourful and fun! also her poses are slightly goofy which is nice compared to all the cold looking modelling people always have going on in their photos!

Nick Knight...Photography or Illustration?

Yohji Yamamoto Red Bustle, 1986
'Nick Knight is among the world’s most influential photographers as well as being Director & founder of SHOWstudio.com the fashion & art internet broadcasting channel. He has won numerous awards for his editorial work for Vogue, Dazed & Confused, W magazine, i-D, and Visionaire, as well as for fashion and advertising projects for clients including Christian Dior, Alexander McQueen, Calvin Klein, Levi Strauss, Yohji Yamamoto and Yves Saint Laurent. As a fashion photographer, Nick Knight has consistently challenged conventional notions of beauty. '

Yohji Yamamoto Red Coat, Naomi Campbell, 1986

So it's photography but at first I thought these images were fashion illustrations, I think it very interesting they way the images have this mixture of both flat and movement/texture aesthetic to them. I guess you can say I like the simplicity but boldness to them.
