Burberry Prorsum Show at LFW Spring Summer 2013

Burberry is always know as one of the biggest shows to look out for at London Fashion week. Their last LFW apperance was sure to be one of the most spectacular ending in true London style with umbrellas was in my mind a artistic site and yesterdays show was no difference. From the start where they delicately unveils the glass rooftop to let the natural like in was wonderful.

The collection itself was beautiful and the use of bright colours and metallics I think allowed the collection to stand out. The use of corset, capes and Burberry's oh so famous trench made the collection sleek, chic and sexy. As Bailey described this collection as "a little bit sassier, a little bit sexier, and a little bit more joyful". Inspired by a 100 year-old image of Burberry corsets and capes from its archive, plus the "very British glamour" of Norman Parkinson, its first look was a dramatic cream cloak worn over a saucy-for-Burberry satin basque. Another thing I found interesting was the styling in how the models hair was tucked into the garments, which I thought was uniquely cool actually.

The trench coat is to Burberry what the iPhone is to Apple. And here, as every season, it was remixed, ramped-up, and presented to buyers anew. Burberry's 2013 trenches included some fantastically rich, deeply coloured lace versions, and a fuchsia to midnight blue kaleidoscope of satin varieties. Yet more were treated to glint metallically in a sweetshop palette of almost sickly pink and limes. Colour-blocking, peplums, some bird-of-paradise feather dresses and even the revival of Burberry's signature check on the panels of metallic-trimmed handbags were other notable features in this remorselessly slick, visually overwhelming show. London Fashion Week Over the Weekend

Holly Futon's show was slightly different by revealing in lines of four with a bright "all American" beach collection. Plenty of bold clash of prints and colours also all sporting some shades. From the pastel coloured espadrilles and funky bikini which opened the show it's sure to be a fun filled summer 2013 with Holly Futon's looks!
Issa showcases a maxi love with a floor length to match every ones need, from a timeless silk jersey to a colourful print. Each on showing a elegance and class which is still sexy for the summer. Its no wonder Duchess of Cambridge is one of their biggest clients!
Matthew Williamson produces yet another beautifully colourful collection with a fabulous range of everything, from shorts to knickers shorts to cropped trousers and maxis to minis. But not matter what since his debut in 1998 Williamson's strength has been to transport us away from our humdrum existences to exotic, glamorous, magical destinations. This 15th anniversary show was a reminder of his love of India.
Marios Schwab emphasised a very contemporary chic collection with Polynesian influence; Amazonian warriors - which was translated rather literally in to raffia trimming through out the looks which I think gave a interesting fresh detailing. The collection showed a strong yet feminine aesthetic which is a balance that's hard to achieve.

These are just a few of the amazing collections which I personally liked showed over the weekend a London Fashion Week so for more (source) visit: http://fashion.telegraph.co.uk

London Fashion Week Starts Today!!

Today is the first day of London Fashion Week for the spring/summer 2013 collections. Antoni & Alison will kick-start the schedule at 10am, followed by former Fashion Fringe star Fyodor Golan and BFC/Vogue Fashion Fund nominee Zoё Jordan. Last season, Jordan recruited BFC young ambassadorPoppy Delevingne to star in her show - we wonder what she has planned today. This afternoon, we'll see new offerings from Corrie Nielsen, Willow, Sass & Bide and Duchess of Cambridge favourite Emilia Wickstead. LFW name-to-know Eudon Choi will give the front rowers plenty to talk about as he showcases his latest collection at 3.30pm. Markus Lupfer will hopefully deliver more of his playful tongue-in-cheek creations tonight, followed byFelder Felder and PPQ - that will take the celebrations late into the evening with its hipster-packed after-party, a soirée that has become a staple on the LFW circuit. Also London goes 'Green', LFW designers Antonio Berardi, Jonathan Saunders, Alice Temperley, Marios Schwab, Stephen Jones and Roksanda Ilincic took a break from their studios last night and attended a cocktail reception to celebrate the launch of the 'Green Cut'. An initiative from The Green Carpet Challenge® co-founders Livia Firth and Lucy Siegle (in collaboration with American Express), the project brings together the British Fashion Council and the British Film Institute for the first time, by pairing eight seminal fashion designers with eight iconic British films to raise awareness of a sustainable approach to fashion design.

I had to mention these shoes by Fred Butler because they are just that awesome !

Invites to LONDON FASHION WEEK

From Left to Right - Antipodium, Topshop Unique, Mary Katrantzou, House of Holland, Markus Lupfer, Acne and Mulberry

London fashion week starts on Friday 17 February, which means the invites are coming in thick and fast. Aside from an upswing in papercuts, this is the cause of much excitement among the Guardian fashion lot, because invitations usually hint at what the show will be about. I say usually because the Jonathan Saunders invite was plain white and smelt of goose fat, which is not an accurate reflection of his clothes. Mulberry have sent a gigantic golden key that's so big it could be considered a weapon, print genius Mary Katrantzou has a holographic image of crayons and Henry Holland has sent the most useful one yet - an iPhone cover

Would be amazing to receive an invite but for the mean time just knowing what they look like is cool and I find branding very interesting and how company market themselves through every little thing (which makes a strong brand) I think if I was receiving a invite based on the invite only it would be Henry Holland. That's so smart and useful! Plus I don't think they would cost that much too make and makes a unique invitation ! Although not everyone may have an IPhone !

As for clothing design wise I d love to go to Mary Katrantzou show. She does amazing prints and uses unique silhouettes! Her work is colourful and full of life ! Also loving her collection that's just hit Topshop!

Be ready LONDON FASHION WEEK commences tomorrow !
