Rihanna is American Vogue's Latest Cover Girl!

Rihanna is the November cover model for American Vogue and looking hot in red doing so. Sporting her black pixie hair cut and a very sultry facial expression the singer is looking stunning and featured in a full beautifully artistic fashion editorial within this issue. Rihanna dubbed by the fashion mag as 'The unstoppable artist" and the images are photographed by Annie Leibovitz.  You can have a look at all the stunning pictures below:

Just absolutely love these editorial shots they are telling a story and in each photo she makes the clothes look amazing!
Rihanna really channels her inner high fashion model in this editorial, if she wasn't a singer then she definitely could be a full time model but she is a singer and will be promoting her newest single 'Diamonds' and her newest album 'Unapologetic' which you can have a look at the sexy album cover below if you haven't already:

Emma Stone an actress who is becoming more popular and her style is getting better and better. Judging from her recent 'The Amazing Spider-man' premieres, she has got pure class and style with her outfits. She chooses from a range of designers, colours, cuts and styles but making them all work in an effortlessly chic way.  Definitely a new style star to keep an eye out for!

Vogue Princesses

Society has a strange fascination with Disney characters, so much so that many of us crave to see special renditions like this Vogue Princesses series. Of course, when one considers how much of a role these characters and movies played in our childhood years, it is no wonder that we encourage the nostalgic tendencies of these projects.

Yet the Vogue Princesses art series also addresses our need for something new and exciting. Forget about innocent storylines and tired film sequels; artists like Dante Taylor give us a different perspective of these once-sweet-and-dainty damsels. The Vogue Princesses series shows them all grown up. From the naive Snow White to the the self-sacrificing Belle, these Vogue Princesses magazine covers give them all edgy looks, as though they have been seasoned by the fashion industry

How cool are these covers, They look so good although the original characters has seem to lots a lot of the innocence. The illustrations are beautiful !

Stella McCartney's sporty Team GB collection

THE June issue of Vogue (see inside the magazine here), goes behind the scenes on Stella McCartney's Adidas Olympic collection shoot - and VOGUE.COM can bring you the film itself. McCartney - who is creative director of Adidas' Team GB collection - has enlisted fashion photographer Jacob Sutton to capture the conceptual fashion film, narrated by the designer herself.

"Sport and style have always been the starting point for this collaboration," McCartney said. "We wanted to take it to another art form for this collection by making a film and capturing the athletes in movement which is at the heart of this process."

Getting Ready For the Water..or just the sun!

It's summer time so everyone wants to go to the beach or get a tan and of course look good doing so! That's why I decided to look into this year swimwear trends!
Both: Nanette Lepore

Michael Kors

The 2011 catwalks were awash with retro references that called to mind the beach side glamour of starlets from the Sixties and Seventies.

Shade yourself with a giant sun hat – one from Marc Jacobs or Prada will be sizeable enough.

Nanette Lepore, Michael Kors and Elie Tahari teamed waist-high bottoms with bikini tops for a grown-up but subtly sexy look. The good news is that while wearing more fabric, you can style it up with different accessories.

Look out, also, for bikinis in flesh and neutral tones to show off your tan on day three.

Leave the heels at home. They don’t work in sand. Better to go for metallic sandals by Aspiga for a glamour hit or down-to-earth brown sandals.

Make like the Pucci girls and tie a scarf around your head for a Seventies styling flair.

Going East

JAMES LONG, Marques Almeida and Maarten van der Horst have been announced as Fashion East's spring/summer 2012 designer line-up. Although Long made his Fashion East womenswear debut last season, Central Saint Martins graduates Almeida and van der Hoorst are both newcomers for London Fashion Week.

"We're delighted to support James Long for a second season," says Fashion East founder Lulu Kennedy. "His womenswear debut last season went down great with buyers and press alike - the signature handknits were killer, I loved the Alpaca clutches, and the floor-length body-con knit dresses were hot and super-wearable. We spotted the two newcomers at the Central Saint Martins MA show. They were stand out, in what was a very strong year. The panel loved the energy and bold optimism of their collections, it felt fresh and confident. They are determined individuals with a well-developed aesthetic plus great attitude. The gear is really fun and I'd wear it in a heartbeat. We have a pretty explosive mix on our hands for September!"

Cannes Film Festival 2011

Zoe Saldana in Armani Prive, I love this dress its quite simple but still interesting with the use of stripe and draping detail! Fan Bing Bing in another Chinese inspired gown at the opening of the festival, fan wore a fire-engine red gown with traditional motifs embroidered all over it. the strapless dress had a bow on the chest and a cape which doubled as a train. i love the pearl clutch and matching lips. this dress was designed by fan’s stylist bo kewan. i like that she kept the whole look traditional by choosing the ancient tang dynasty style for her hair. way to be patriotic.(source:amaraj.wordpress.com)

Mia Wasikowska is far from Alice and wonderland in this Valentino Couture dress which is beautiful in the light nude shade and how its very 'lady -like' but still sexy in its own way!

The Arrival of the Asian Supermodels

The Arrival of the Asian Supermodels
Rana Kabbani's Road To Revolution tells of the writer's feelings and experiences as an Arab in this era of great change in the region. The New Guard explores the rise of Asian models within the industry, whilst Paolo Roversi's Neo Geisha shoot takes inspiration from the recently troubled nation of Japan: both its heritage and its cutting-edge modernity.

Image from Look Magazine 31st Jan Issue

Seeing this is almost the kind of aesthetic I thought my collection would be like from the beginning, I was attracted when I saw that it was trending for the up and coming spring season! I love the mixture of colours, prints and volume in the all the different designers take on oriental theme, also nice to see the east is inspiring the west more and more in the fashion.
